Daily Prayer: Year 1, Day 9

Abiding in God’s Forgiveness
(Confession)

I am grateful to You, O God, for the blessing of Your forgiveness. I thank You that in Christ You set me free from the guilt of the past and give me hope for the future.

You have been just in all that has happened to me; You have acted faithfully, while I did wrong. (Nehemiah 9:33)

“In repentance and rest is your salvation;
In quietness and trust is your strength.” (Isaiah 30:15)

Take a moment to ask the Spirit to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin. Acknowledge these to the Lord, and thank Him for His forgiveness.

You are the living God, and there is no god besides You. You put to death and You bring to life, You have wounded and You will heal, and no one can deliver from Your hand. (Deuteronomy 32:39)

Who is a God like You, who pardons? . . . You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. You will have compassion on Your people; You will tread their iniquities underfoot and hurl all their sins into the depths of the sea. (Micah 7:18–19)

Lord, I thank You for Your great gift of compassion, pardon, and forgiveness, and for Your power and abiding presence in my life. There is no deliverer besides You.
