Daily Scripture: Year 2, Day 7

From Handbook to Renewal

The Attributes of God

I acknowledge this day and take it to my heart that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other. (Deuteronomy 4:39)

You are the Lord, and there is no other; apart from You there is no God. From the rising to the setting of the sun, we know there is none besides You. You are the Lord, and there is no other. (Isaiah 45:56)

The Works of God

The wolf will dwell with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the goat, and the calf and the lion and the yearling together, and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear; their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The infant will play near the hole of the cobra, and the young child will put his hand into the viper’s hole. They will neither harm nor destroy on all My holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. (Isaiah 11:69)

The heavens will vanish like smoke; the earth will wear out like a garment, and its inhabitants will die in the same way. But Your salvation will last forever, and Your righteousness will never fail. (Isaiah 51:6)

My Relationship to God

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. My heart greatly rejoices, and I will give thanks to Him in song. (Psalm 28:7)

I will not let my heart be troubled. I will trust in God and trust also in Christ. (John 14:1)

The Character I Want to Cultivate

Instruct a wise man, and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning. (Proverbs 9:9)

He who heeds instruction is on the path of life, but he who refuses correction goes astray. (Proverbs 10:17)

My Relationship to Others

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation. (Isaiah 52:7; Nahum 1:15)

As I follow You, You will make me a fisher of men. (Matthew 4:19; Mark 1:17)
