PURSUING GOD FIRST
Love, joy, and peace cannot be obtained by pursuing these things as ends in themselves; they are the overflow and the byproduct of the pursuit of God. Moses prayed in the wilderness, “Let me know Your ways, that I may know You, so that I may find favor in Your sight” and God responded, “My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest” (Exodus 33:13–14).
Like Moses, our prayer should be to know God and His ways. By putting Him first, everything else falls into place.
