From A Simple Book of Prayers
Walking in Freedom
(Renewal)
I praise You, Lord, that You are intimately acquainted with my ways and that You always love me and have my best interests at heart.
I will not let sin reign in my mortal body that I should obey its lusts. Nor will I present the members of my body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but I will present myself to God as one who is alive from the dead. (Romans 6:12–13)
May I put away all filthiness and the overflow of wickedness; and in meekness accept the word planted in me, which is able to save my soul. (James 1:21)
Take a moment to offer this day to the Lord, and ask Him for the grace to grow in your knowledge and love for Him.
I shall not covet my neighbor’s house, my neighbor’s wife . . . or anything that belongs to my neighbor. (Exodus 20:17; Deuteronomy 5:21)
I was called to freedom, but I will not use my freedom to indulge the flesh, but through love I will serve others. (Galatians 5:13)
Lord, I praise You. You endure forever. I thank You for the Lord Jesus, who came in Your name. I thank You for a future and a hope. May I not be covetous or indulge the flesh, but instead may I serve others in love.
