From A Simple Book of Prayers

Going on to Maturity
(Intercession)

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others; and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

Many are saying, “Who will show us any good?”
O Lord, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us. (Psalm 4:6)

Who is the man who desires life
And loves many days that he may see good?
Keep your tongue from evil
And your lips from speaking guile.
Depart from evil and do good;
Seek peace and pursue it.
The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are attentive to their cry. (Psalm 34:12–15)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

I will not enter the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evil men. (Proverbs 4:14)

Anyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant.. (Hebrews 5:13)

Lord, Jesus is my Lord and my God and I am not ashamed of Him. Thank You that Christ now lives in me. May I go on to maturity in Him.
