Daily Prayer: Year 1, Day 49

From A Simple Book of Prayers

Praying for Believers
(Thanksgiving)

O Lord, I am deeply grateful for Your wonderful acts, for Your abundant promises, and for the gift of my relationship with You through the merits of Christ.

All the kings of the earth will give thanks to You, O Lord,
When they hear the words of Your mouth.
Yes, they sing of the ways of the Lord,
For the glory of the Lord is great.
Though the Lord is on high,
Yet He looks upon the lowly,
But the proud He knows from afar. (Psalm 138:4–6)

Take a moment to express your gratitude for the many blessings that you have received from the Lord.

We should always thank God for other believers, mentioning them in our prayers. (1 Thessalonians 1:2)

We should always pray for other believers, that our God may count them worthy of His calling and fulfill every desire for goodness and every work of faith with power. (2 Thessalonians 1:11)

Lord, I thank You for Your glorious works and for Christ, the Man from heaven. I thank You for the peace Jesus gives to me, and I ask that I would remember other believers in my prayers.
