Daily Prayer: Year 1, Day 50

From A Simple Book of Prayers

Persevering Under Trial
(Adoration)

Lord, I give thanks for Your greatness, Your goodness, and Your love; and I now draw near to enjoy Your presence.

The word of the Lord is upright,
And all His work is done in faithfulness.
He loves righteousness and justice;
The earth is full of the lovingkindness of the Lord. (Psalm 33:4–5)

Once God has spoken;
Twice I have heard this:
That power belongs to God,
And that You, O Lord, are loving.
For You reward each person according to what he has done. (Psalm 62:11–12)

Take a moment to consider God’s awesome majesty, and thank Him that He loves you and wants an intimate relationship with you.

I desire to be diligent to realize the full assurance of hope to the end. I do not want to become sluggish but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. (Hebrews 6:11–12)

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial because when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him. (James 1:12)

Lord, I thank You that You are my Redeemer. You gave me the gift of life. I thank You for making me Your child and heir. May I persevere under trials and receive the crown of life.
