Learning God’s Ways
(Confession)
I am grateful to You, O God, for the blessing of Your forgiveness. I thank You that in Christ You set me free from the guilt of the past and give me hope for the future.
When I have sinned against You, hear from heaven and forgive my sin and restore me. Teach me the good way in which I should walk. When I sin against You—for there is no one who does not sin—may I return to You with all my heart and with all my soul. (1 Kings 8:33–34, 36, 46, 48)
Take a moment to ask the Spirit to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin. Acknowledge these to the Lord, and thank Him for His forgiveness.
A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but he who is slow to anger calms a quarrel. (Proverbs 15:18)
I will not mistreat my neighbor, but I will fear my God; for You are the Lord my God. (Leviticus 25:17)
Lord, I thank You that Christ has been given all authority and that His body and blood purchased my salvation. I thank You for my heavenly citizenship; and I ask that I would treat You with awe and respect, that I would be slow to anger.
