Daily Prayer: Year 1, Day 54

From A Simple Book of Prayers

Doing All for God’s Glory
(Intercession)

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others; and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

Jesus said, “As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” (John 20:21)

Grant that I may be used to open the eyes of others and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Jesus. (Acts 26:18)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

I do not want to love praise from men more than praise from God. (John 12:43)

Whatever I do, I should do all to the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31)

Lord, I thank You that Jesus so clearly manifested Your perfection and that He will come again in power and glory. I thank You for Your provision in times of temptation, and I ask for the grace to seek Your praise rather than that of people.
