Daily Prayer: Year 1, Day 62

From A Simple Book of Prayers

Awaiting the Morning Star
(Affirmation)

God, I want Your Word to be deeply implanted in me so that I not only know the truth but also express it in the way I live.

To the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. (1 Timothy 1:17)

The God of all grace, who called me to His eternal glory in Christ, after I have suffered a little while, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish me. To Him be the glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 5:10–11)

Take a moment to affirm the truth of these words from Scripture, and ask God to make them a growing reality in your life.

We have the prophetic word made more certain, to which I will do well to pay attention, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in my heart. (2 Peter 1:19)

I will learn to fear You all the days I live on the earth and teach Your words to my children. (Deuteronomy 4:10)

Lord, I thank You for searching and knowing me and for giving me rest in Christ. I thank You for the indwelling Comforter, and I ask that I would observe Your Word and teach it to others.
