Daily Prayer: Year 1, Day 68

From A Simple Book of Prayers

Walking the Way of the Blameless
(Intercession)

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others; and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

Salvation belongs to the Lord.
May Your blessing be on Your people.
(Psalm 3:8)

But let all who take refuge in You be glad;
Let them ever sing for joy,
Because You defend them.
And let those who love Your name be joyful in You.
(Psalm 5:11)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

The righteousness of the blameless makes a straight way for them, but the wicked will fall by their own wickedness. (Proverbs 11:5)

The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter until the full light of day. But the way of the wicked is like darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble. (Proverbs 4:18–19)

Lord, I thank You that Jesus is the resurrection and the life and that every knee will bow before Him. I thank You for the gift of His righteousness, and I ask that I would walk in His power and light.
