Daily Prayer: Year 1, Day 69

From A Simple Book of Prayers

Singing with Gratitude
(Affirmation)

God, I want Your Word to be deeply implanted in me so that I not only know the truth but also express it in the way I live.

May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip us in every good thing to do His will, working in us what is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. (Hebrews 13:20–21)

Take a moment to affirm the truth of these words from Scripture, and ask God to make them a growing reality in your life.

Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. (Proverbs 12:18)

We should let the word of Christ dwell in us richly as we teach and admonish one another with all wisdom and as we sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in our hearts to God. (Colossians 3:16)

Lord, I thank You that You are incomparable and that Your Son will come as the King of kings and Lord of lords. I thank You for calling me to become like a little child, and I ask that my words would build others up and not tear them down.
