Daily Prayer: Year 1, Day 74

From A Simple Book of Prayers

Putting on the Lord Jesus Christ
(Petition)

As I approach Your throne of grace today, I am grateful that You care about the things that concern me and that You want me to offer them up to You.

May I learn to be content in whatever circumstances I am. Whether I am abased or in abundance, whether I am filled or hungry, let me learn the secret of being content in any and every situation. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:11–13)

Take a moment to share your personal needs with God, including your physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual concerns.

The thoughts of the righteous are just, but the advice of the wicked is deceitful. (Proverbs 12:5)

I will walk properly as in the daytime, not in revellings and drunkenness, not in promiscuity and debauchery, not in strife and jealousy. Rather, I will put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision to gratify the lusts of the flesh. (Romans 13:13–14)

Lord, I thank You for Your perfect precepts and commandments and for the gift of Your indwelling Holy Spirit. I thank You that You are my high tower and my deliverer, and I ask that my thoughts and actions would honor the Lord Jesus Christ.
