Daily Prayer: Year 1, Day 77

From A Simple Book of Prayers

Committing My Work to Him
(Thanksgiving)

O Lord, I am deeply grateful for Your wonderful acts, for Your abundant promises, and for the gift of my relationship with You through the merits of Christ.

This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him,
And saved him out of all his troubles.
The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him,
And delivers them. (Psalm 34:6–7)

I waited patiently for the Lord,
And He turned to me and heard my cry.
God lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire;
He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
And put their trust in the Lord. (Psalm 40:1–3)

Take a moment to express your gratitude for the many blessings that you have received from the Lord.

Whoever is wise and understanding will show it by his good conduct and works done in the humility that comes from wisdom. (James 3:13)

I will commit my works to the Lord, and my plans will be established. (Proverbs 16:3)

Lord, I praise You. The Lord Jesus holds the key of David and He serves those in need. May I present my works to the Lord and be wise in heart, listening to counsel.
