Daily Prayer: Year 1, Day 84

From A Simple Book of Prayers

Making Peace
(Thanksgiving)

O Lord, I am deeply grateful for Your wonderful acts, for Your abundant promises, and for the gift of my relationship with You through the merits of Christ.

In Your unfailing love You have led the people You have redeemed.
In Your strength You have guided them to Your holy dwelling.
You brought them in and planted them in the mountain of Your inheritance—
The place, O Lord, You made for Your dwelling;
The sanctuary, O Lord, Your hands have established. (Exodus 15:13, 17)

You are the Lord our God, who brought Your people out of Egypt so that they would no longer be their slaves; You broke the bars of their yoke and enabled them to walk with heads held high. (Leviticus 26:13)

Take a moment to express your gratitude for the many blessings that you have received from the Lord.

Better a little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil. (Proverbs 15:16)

I will not give cause for offense in anything so that my ministry will not be discredited. (2 Corinthians 6:3)

Lord, I praise You for Your creation and for Your authority over the heavens and the earth. I thank You for the hope of righteousness through Your Spirit, and I ask that my faith in Christ would make me a peacemaker.
