Laying Up True Treasure
(Adoration)
Lord, I give thanks for Your greatness, Your goodness, and Your love; and I now draw near to enjoy Your presence.
Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable are Your judgments, and Your ways past finding out!
For who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been Your counselor?
Or who has first given to You,
That You should repay him?
For from You and through You and to You are all things. (Romans 11:33–36)
Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, because His judgments are true and righteous. (Revelation 19:1–2)
Take a moment to consider God’s awesome majesty, and thank Him that He loves you and wants an intimate relationship with you.
I will lay up for myself treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where my treasure is, there my heart will be also. (Matthew 6:20–21; Luke 12:34)
He who is generous will be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor. (Proverbs 22:9)
Lord, I praise You for Your love and faithfulness. Even Jesus came in humility as a servant. Soon I will be resurrected by my Redeemer. May I lay up spiritual treasures by being generous to others.
