Walking in Humility
(Confession)
I am grateful to You, O God, for the blessing of your forgiveness. I thank You that in Christ You set me free from the guilt of the past and give me hope for the future.
He will not turn His face from you if you return to Him. (2 Chronicles 30:9)
Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,
Whose sin is covered.
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity
And in whose spirit is no deceit.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
And You forgave the guilt of my sin. (Psalm 32:1–2, 5)
Take a moment to ask the Spirit to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin. Acknowledge these to the Lord, and thank Him for His forgiveness.
The Christian in humble circumstances should glory in their high position, and the one who is rich should glory in their humiliation, because they will pass away like a flower of the field. (James 1:9-10)
Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened calf with hatred. (Proverbs 15:17)
Lord, I praise You for Your unrivaled splendor. Thank You for calling me to be a child of the light. I thank You for the power of Christ in me. May I walk in humility and love.
