From Handbook to Prayer

RENEWAL

I am the salt of the earth, but if the salt loses its flavor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. I am the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. In the same way, I must let my light shine before men, that they may see my good deeds and praise my Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:13–16)

I want to walk in a way that is worthy of the calling with which I was called, with all humility and meekness and patience. (Ephesians 4:1–2)

Pause to add your own prayers for personal renewal. 

PETITION 

May I be strong and courageous; may I not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord my God will be with me wherever I go. (Joshua 1:9)

INTERCESSION

O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and lovingkindness with those who love Him and with those who obey His commandments, we have sinned and committed iniquity; we have been wicked and have rebelled, even turning away from Your commandments and from Your judgments. To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, even though we have rebelled against Him. We have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God to walk in His laws which He set before us through His servants the prophets. (Daniel 9:4–5, 9–10)
