From Handbook to Wisdom, Day 109 (Promises)

When I received Christ,
I entered into God’s eternal family as
a beloved child.

As many as received Christ,
to them He gave the right to become children of God,
to those who believe in His name,
who were born not of blood,
nor of the will of the flesh,
nor of the will of man, but of God.
(John 1:12–13)

Lord Jesus, I have transferred my trust from myself to You and have received Your free gift of forgiveness and of eternal life. Because of Your gift, I have the assurance that I have become a child of God through the second birth that comes from above. Amen.
