In Christ, I am destined to receive
a kingdom that cannot be shaken.
Since I am receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken,
I will be thankful and so worship God acceptably
with reverence and awe,
for my God is a consuming fire.
(Hebrews 12:28–29)
My God, I want to worship You acceptably with reverence and awe, for You are a consuming fire of holiness and love. Teach me to be ever more thankful, so that growing gratitude will be my worship as I remember Your radiant promise that I am destined in Christ to receive a kingdom that can never be overthrown or diminished. Amen.
