From Handbook to Wisdom, Day 122 (Promises)

In Christ, I have a source of peace
that the world cannot give.

Peace You leave with me; Your peace You give to me.
Not as the world gives, do You give to me.
I will not let my heart be troubled nor let it be fearful.
(John 14:27)

Dear Lord, I will revel and rejoice in the transcendent peace that You alone can give to me. Because I have hoped and trusted in Jesus, I need never be troubled and fearful. You have given me an inner peace that the world can neither understand nor offer. Amen.
