From Handbook to Wisdom, Day 136 (Promises)

In Christ I have a living hope
of an unfading inheritance.

Blessed be the God and Father of my
Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His
great mercy has given me new birth
into a living hope through the resurrection
of Jesus Christ from the dead,
and into an inheritance that is
incorruptible and undefiled
and unfading, reserved in heaven for me.
(1 Peter 1:3–4)

Father God, I bless You indeed because of Your great mercy and because of my new birth into a living hope. In Christ, my inheritance will never be corrupted, defiled, or diminished. It is reserved in heaven for me, and I will enjoy the blessings of Your presence in the ages to come. Amen.
