TRUST IN GOD,
NOT IN PEOPLE

The fear of man brings a snare,
but he who trusts in the Lord is set on high.
(Proverbs 29:25)

Cursed is the one who trusts in man,
who depends on flesh for his strength
and whose heart turns away from the Lord.
But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in Him.
(Jeremiah 17:5, 7)

Lord, I ask for the wisdom to trust in You entirely and exclusively and not to put my hope and trust in people above You. I will depend upon You for my strength and place my confidence in Your promises, and in this way I will avoid the snare of fearing people’s opinions more than Your truth. Amen.
