GUARD YOUR THOUGHT LIFE

I will flee from sexual immorality.
All other sins a man commits are outside his body,
but the immoral person sins against his own body.
(1 Corinthians 6:18)

I will consider the members of my earthly body
as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desires,
and greed, which is idolatry.
Because of these, the wrath of God is coming,
and in them I once walked when I lived in them.
(Colossians 3:5–7)

Lord God, grant me the power and intention to guard my thought life so that I will not succumb to the baseness of immorality and impurity. I flee to You and away from sensuality and immorality. I choose to live in light of the day when I will give an account to Christ—may I not be ashamed on that day. Amen.
