LEARN THE SECRET OF CONTENTMENT
I will covet no one’s money or possessions.
(Acts 20:33)
Godliness with contentment is great gain.
For I brought nothing into the world, and I can take
nothing out of it. But if I have food and clothing, with
these I will be content.
(1 Timothy 6:6–8)
Dear Lord, I pray for the gift of contentment, a gift that is rare and precious since it is possessed by so few. May I choose to allow You to determine the content and disposition of my life rather than seeking to determine it myself. Then I will know the secret of contentment as I stop comparing myself with others and revel in the goodness of Your will and plans for me. Amen.
