LOVE THE VIRTUE OF HUMILITY
When pride comes, then comes dishonor,
but with humility comes wisdom.
(Proverbs 11:2)
The proud looks of man will be humbled,
and the loftiness of men brought low;
the Lord alone will be exalted.
(Isaiah 2:11)
O Lord, I am painfully aware of the proud looks and loftiness of men. May I not become guilty of becoming like what I hate seeing in others. I ask for a spirit of gentleness and humility that seeks to honor and exalt You rather than build myself up in the sight of others. Amen.
