From Handbook to Wisdom, Day 180
BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING
I will not worry about tomorrow,
for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.
(Matthew 6:34)
I do not want to be worried and troubled about many things;
only one thing is needed.
Like Mary, I want to choose the good part,
which will not be taken away from me.
(Luke 10:41–42)
Lord, You have given me the power to rise above the fears and anxieties of this life as I choose to hope and trust in You and in Your faithful promises. Thank You that I can choose the good part, the one thing most needful, and that by putting You above all else, I no longer have to worry or be consumed by fear. Amen.
