Lord, I praise you because …

You are compassionate and gracious.

The Lord, the Lord God,
is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger,
and abounding in lovingkindness and truth,
maintaining love to thousands,
and forgiving iniquity, transgression, and sin.
(Exodus 34:6–7)

Lord God, I stand amazed at the beauty of Your attributes: Your perfect compassion, Your boundless grace, Your infinite patience, Your abundant lovingkindness, Your wonderful truth, Your intense love, and Your wonderful forgiveness. Because of who You are, I can walk in faith, hope, and love. Amen.
