From Handbook to Wisdom, Day 82 (Promises)

The sovereign Lord of creation rules over all things,
and nothing can thwart His excellent purposes.

The Lord of hosts has sworn,
“Surely, as I have thought, so it will be,
and as I have purposed, so it will stand.
For the Lord of hosts has purposed, and who can annul it?
His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?”
(Isaiah 14:24, 27)

O Lord, I revel in the goodness of Your intentions and plans, knowing that You always desire what is best for Your people. You rule over all that is in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and no purpose of Yours can be annulled. When You stretch out Your hand, nothing can turn it back. Amen.
