The Attributes of God
I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; with my mouth I will make Your faithfulness known through all generations. I will declare that Your lovingkindness will be built up forever, that You will establish Your faithfulness in the heavens. And the heavens will praise Your wonders, O Lord, Your faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones. For who in the heavens can be compared with the Lord? Who is like the Lord among the sons of the mighty? God is greatly feared in the council of the holy ones and more awesome than all who surround Him. O Lord God of hosts, who is like You, O mighty Lord? Your faithfulness also surrounds You. (Psalm 89:1–2, 5–8)
I will sing of Your lovingkindness and justice; to You, O Lord, I will sing praises. (Psalm 101:1)
The Works of God
Nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, and nothing is secret that will not be known and come out into the open. (Luke 8:17)
Whoever is ashamed of Jesus and His words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. (Luke 9:26)
My Relationship to God
Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim You, who walk in the light of Your presence, O Lord. They rejoice in Your name all day long, and they are exalted in Your righteousness. (Psalm 89:15–16)
Through Jesus, I will continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. (Hebrews 13:15)
The Character I Want to Cultivate
Wisdom is better than jewels, and all desirable things cannot be compared with her. Wisdom dwells together with prudence and finds knowledge and discretion. (Proverbs 8:11–12)
The wisdom that comes from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, submissive, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. (James 3:17–18)
My Relationship to Others
I will not judge my brother or regard him with contempt. Instead of judging him, I will resolve not to put a stumbling block or obstacle in my brother’s way. (Romans 14:10a, 13)
I will accept others, just as Christ accepted me to the glory of God. (Romans 15:7)
