Daily Scripture: Year 2, Day 39

From Handbook to Renewal

The Attributes of God

Before Abraham was born, Jesus Christ always exists. (John 8:58)

In Christ all the fullness of the Godhead lives in bodily form. (Colossians 2:9)

The Works of God

The Lord said, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.” But He was speaking of the temple of His body. After He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this to them, and they believed the Scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken. (John 2:19, 2122)

Jesus said, “My Father loves Me because I lay down My life that I may take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from My Father.” (John 10:1718)

My Relationship to God

Everyone who drinks ordinary water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water You give will never thirst. Indeed, the water You give becomes in us a spring of water welling up to eternal life. (John 4:1314)

Whoever hears the word of Jesus and believes Him who sent Him has eternal life and will not come into judgment, but has passed over from death to life. (John 5:24)

The Character I Want to Cultivate

I want the Lord to establish my heart as blameless and holy before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints. (1 Thessalonians 3:13)

I desire to be diligent to realize the full assurance of hope to the end. I do not want to become sluggish but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. (Hebrews 6:1112)

My Relationship to Others

A righteous man guides his friends, but the way of the wicked leads them astray. (Proverbs 12:26)

I will not give cause for offense in anything, so that my ministry will not be discredited. (2 Corinthians 6:3)
