Daily Scripture: Year 2, Day 43

From Handbook to Renewal

The Attributes of God

God fashions the hearts of all and understands all their works. (Psalm 33:15)

Death and Destruction lie open before the Lord; how much more the hearts of men! (Proverbs 15:11)

The Works of God

Lord, You have said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:2830)

As Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so the Son of Man had to be lifted up, that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life. (John 3:1415)

My Relationship to God

You have asked the Father, and He has given me another Comforter to be with me forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But I know Him, for He lives in me. (John 14:1617)

I am not in the flesh but in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God lives in me. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. (Romans 8:9)

The Character I Want to Cultivate

I will not show partiality in judgment; I will hear both small and great alike. I will not be afraid of any man, for judgment belongs to God. (Deuteronomy 1:17)

I do not want even a hint of immorality, or any impurity, or greed in my life, as is proper for a saint. Nor will I give myself to obscenity, foolish talk, or coarse joking, which are not fitting, but rather to giving of thanks. (Ephesians 5:34)

My Relationship to Others

As we have opportunity, we should do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of faith. (Galatians 6:10)

God is not unjust to be forgetful of our work and the love we have shown toward His name in having ministered and continuing to minister to the saints. (Hebrews 6:10)
