In Ephesians 4 Paul exhorted his readers to walk in a manner worthy of their calling. We are to become in our practice who we already are in our position. In Ephesians 5, He further expounds on what it means to have a worthy walk—to walk in love,
Paul tells the Ephesians to walk in a manner worthy of their calling. He bases this on the truths he previously told them concerning their identity in Christ. What, then, does a worthy walk look like?
We all have a need for security, significance, and satisfaction. But searching for these in people, possessions, or position will never be enough. Only in Christ do we find all we need.
The world does not provide answers for our deepest questions. Only when we grasp who and whose we are can we have peace in uncertainty.
God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing, but we often choose to live as paupers—we ignore the blessing of the Father.
Every Christian will come under spiritual attack at some point. Prepare now by meditating on God‘s truth, putting on the full armor of God.
How can we honor God in our relationships, particularly in the family and in our jobs? He calls us to live out of our identity in Him, loving others and treating them with respect.
Out of our joy, love, and gratitude in Christ, we are to love others. As we keep in step with the Spirit, recalibrating our lives to obey His voice, we will approach our relationships with love—including the marriage relationship.
