In his weekly adult Sunday school class at Christ Church of Atlanta, Dr. Boa discusses his new book Life in the Presence of God. He explains the motivation behind the book, its relationship (as a sequel) to Rewriting Your Broken Story, and an overview of its content. He also talks about the companion training guide A Guide to Practicing God’s Presence.
Dr. Boa continues his discussion of the work and spiritual habits of two great practitioners of God’s presence: Frank Laubach and Brother Lawrence.
In his Wednesday Morning Men’s Fellowship class, Dr. Boa introduces some of the imagery and metaphors associated with living in God’s presence on an ongoing basis: abiding in the vine, walking by the Spirit, setting your mind on the Spirit, rejoicing always, praying without ceasing, running with endurance.
Dr. Boa catches up with his Wednesday Morning Men’s Fellowship class after his sabbatical and talks about rest and reflection, while introducing his new series: “Practicing the Presence of God.”
